Excelsa | Coffea Excelsa

Excelsa Coffee  Coffea Excelsa or excelsa is a breed of coffee that has a high resistance to diseases and dryness that plagued other coffee varieties. It has a high yield and its aged beans give a coffee with odorous and pleasant taste like langka or jackfruit and is sometimes confused with the baraco coffee. This variety also grows in lower elevations in the Philippines, particularly areas of Cavite where the locals prefer it as a blender for their robusta and barako varieties.

  1. Good day! I am a novice operator of a local coffee shop in Bacolod City. I am learning about the excelsa variety which is what I’m currently using. I think it’s good, though i want to know if i can mix some varieties to make my brew even richier for the palate.
Hope this site can be a great help for me. Thanks and enjoy your fAVORITE CUP of coffee
